Louise Giovanelli
Louise Giovenelli's lecture has possibly been one of my favourite lectures so far, I also attended her painting lesson the week following the lecture. It was very helpful to hear her talk in detail about her experience throughout university and how her work has developed from first year all the way through to masters. This is one of the only lectures which has inspired me to get up and do something without making me feel like I'm not doing enough- if that makes sense. Louise explained how everywhere she travelled- whether it was abroad or just a train to another city- she would visit the galleries and take pictures of the work. Then would replicate the pieces with the photographs she would take, this brought an old piece to be fresh and new for her displays. Overall I really took inspiration from the lecture and will be influenced by her work in upcoming projects.
